Hey watchers! I'd really like to get into digital painting... except that I lack a tablet (everything thus far has been done with a mouse). In theory I could do it with a mouse, but it seems more impractical and time consuming than it needs to be.

The thing is that I don't know where to start. I did a bit of research about a year ago and from what I've gathered is that Bamboo Fun is the way to go to start? But, I'd like some input from actual tablet-owners who can tell me what's what.

-I'm looking for something that is fairly cheap. I don't want to make a huge investment if I'm going to potentially back out (seems unlikely but you never know). I think $100 is the absolute max I'd spend on a tablet (although my bank account would cry) although $70-80 or possibly cheaper is more ideal (I'll probably be buying from amazon or ebay)
-Something that is user friendly. I can still barely handle all the fancy doo dads on my Mac xD

Since you're a bit tight on money, I suggest picking up something from Wacom.com, in their Bamboo series.
I have a Bamboo Capture and it picked it up for $110(tax included!), and it's lasted me through all the stupid things I've put through, including spilling coke on it, dropping it, leaving it in a box to collect dust when my computer didn't(extra points on how they're understanding xD). I've had it a few years and haven't spent any money on it for repairs or anything.
You can check a local Best Buy, they always sell a wider variety than what you think and their prices are more than reasonable.
